Trumpeter Models is one of the premier modelling brands in the industry. Made in China, Trumpeter specializes in military models, model aircraft, and model ships. In addition, they provide a variety of great, inexpensive modelling tools for use on your workbench. Trumpeter also has made a name for themselves with their large 1/200 scale model ships, aircraft carriers, and scale model aircraft. For advanced modellers, Trumpeter kits are extensive, with hundreds of parts, often photo-etched parts, and a large paint chart that helps create some of the most realistic model kits. The Dreadnought, developed and produced by Bolton Paul, was an attack aircraft of the Royal Air Force during World War II. In the beginning, the Dreadnought was used as a turret fighter, without any forward-fired machine guns. It is the same concept as Blackburn's "Dapeng" equipped by the Royal Navy in the same period. The design of the turret fighter was inspired by a successful fighter during World War I, the Bristol F.2.

      In use, the Dreadnought was found to be increasingly suitable as a bomber, but vulnerable to attack by the Luftwaffe's single-seat Bf109 fighters. The lack of forward firepower proved to be the aircraft's main weakness in day combat, and it only began to show its potential when used as a night fighter.
